Job description:

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Part-Time After-School LEGO Instructor to create a positive, engaging, and safe environment for children after school hours. This role is perfect for individuals passionate about education, childcare, and fostering creativity and problem-solving skills. The instructor will lead hands-on LEGO® programs, support childhood development, and inspire young learners to explore STEM concepts in a fun way.

Responsibilities

  • Lead Snapology LEGO® programs focused on STEM concepts for children aged 4–10
  • Supervise and engage children in after-school activities while maintaining a safe and nurturing environment
  • Promote creativity, teamwork, and confidence through hands-on learning
  • Manage classroom behavior and implement strategies to ensure a respectful and organized environment
  • Collaborate with parents, staff, and other instructors to support each child’s individual needs
  • Execute age-appropriate activities that encourage problem-solving, creativity, and social skills
  • Support children with special needs or behavioral challenges as required
  • Maintain cleanliness of activity areas and ensure all materials are used safely
  • Represent Snapology professionally at all times
Qualifications & Skills

  • Experience working with children in settings such as daycare, camp, tutoring, or after-school programs
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills
  • Knowledge of early childhood education principles and childhood development stages
  • Ability to deliver engaging, hands-on lessons using LEGO® and STEM activities
  • Compassionate attitude and genuine interest in supporting children’s growth and well-being
  • Experience with special education or behavior management is a plus

Programs & Schedule

  • Weekday after-school programs (approx. 2:30 PM – 5:00 PM)
  • Casual part-time position with flexible hours

Positive Attitude. Flexible Work Schedule. Criminal And Child Clearances Must Be Current. Experience With Children Required.
